On Saturday, October 8th 2016, the Barrie Cycling Club will be hosting its 10th Annual Baseball Cyclocross Race, powered by Raleigh Canada. We are excited to be giving away a Raleigh bicycle to one lucky racer that registers before October 6th! Make sure you pre-register if you want a chance to win!

About the Barrie Baseball Cross Race

This year the event will fall the day before the Hardwood Ski and Bike Cross race, so get ready for some back to back cross action!  

Similar to last year, the Baseball Cross will be held at the Barrie Sports Complex! We can promise loads of parking, and closed roadways during each race for complete safety of all riders.

The complex also features a fully stocked snack shack, which will be offering racers hot food, coffee and post-race alcoholic beverages. Bring Cash!

Registration opens at 8am and closes 30 minutes prior to each race start. The course will be open for pre-riding after 3pm on October 7th.

Cost of the event is $35 pre-registered, and day of registration for all categories will cost significantly more, so please pre-register for this event! For U19 and youth categories the cost is $25 pre-registered!! All riders are encouraged to pre-register, through the OCA website.

Race

Race starts will be as follows:

We have a similar course to last year, built by professional cyclist, Davide Frattini.

There will be a cash purse for the top finishers in the Elite Womens and Elite Mens race (Overall).   Awards will be held immediately following the completion of each race start.

Cash Prizes for the top three Senior/Master finishers (Men and Women overall) goes as follows:

  1. $200
  2. $100
  3. $75

And, 1st Lap Preem of $150 at the top of the Kenzington Burger Bar Stairs for elite categories!


The course is just over 3km in length and is going to be exceptionally spectator friendly, and a challenge for every rider.

We have a great number of sponsors and partners onboard for this year’s race, the prize table will be great!
