BCC Club Hill Climb TT- Sept.20th

Comments Off 16 September 2008

The club hill climb TT will be held this Saturday, September 20th, starting at 10 a.m. It looks like the weather is calling for a great day so lets have a great turnout for the last event of the year. Mike has selected what looks like a perfect course to appeal to all levels of rider. It is not an all out hill climb in the traditional sense, but more of a hilly, rolling course, eventually finishing at the highest point of the Horseshoe hill.
We will be starting on Bidwell Drive near the intersection with Hwy 93. Bidwell is the road directly across from the KOA campground. For those wishing to ride out from Barrie, it is a 30-45 minute warmup ride. If you are driving out I would suggest that you park near the finish and ride to the start ( a 10-15 minute warmup ). There will be parking near the Horseshoe lot on the east side of the road.
A map of the course and a more detailed description is posted in the Forum. If anyone has any questions give me a call and I hope to see everyone on Saturday.

We received an email this morning about a missing floor pump, is it yours?

A floor pump was left in the parking lot after the Epping race.
Could you post something on the BCC website about it? I have the pump and can bring it to the Moonstone race.

Thank you.

ROUTE CHANGE FOR 15KM TT – MAY 1st

After several of us rode the proposed 15km time trial course, we have made a change to a circuit instead of “out and back”.

Here is the new course. The start is the same as posted before, approx. 300m west of Crosslands on Flos 4, then go west on Flos 4, turn right (north) on Vigo Road, turn right (east) on Flos 7, turn right (south) on Crosslands Road, turn right (west) on Flos 4 to finish just beyond the starting point.

Be aware that there is a stop sign at the corner of Flos 7 and Crosslands Road.

Check it out at BCC Phelpston TT Course

See you there.

Well, after a week of record temperatures, we’re set to have the 2nd Tuesday night ride tomorrow night from Fred Grant Square in downtown Barrie.

This is just a quick reminder to those members who haven’t got their 2008 membership forms in to the club, please print, fill out, and bring your completed forms and payment to the ride. If you haven’t returned your 2008 forms, we can not allow you on the group ride due to our insurance policies. So please, everyone get your forms in to us, so that we can all enjoy a terrific season of cycling in and around the Barrie area.

Looking forward to seeing lots of you out tomorrow for what looks to be another great day!
